That Long Black Train

Here's an interesting video and a great song. Listen to the words. (Don't you just love it when you're trying to listen to a song and someone says, "Listen to the words!"?)
That's why I said it before you started listening.
Happy Sunday, everyone.
p.s. The artist is Josh Turner.

This was one of my favorite songs a while back. Every time I heard it I thought of my mom and her brother.
Happy Sunday to you too.
I couldn't hear all the words, but I loved the music and the voice! I'll try listening again when things are quieter around here. ;)
@ Robyn ... I hear you, luv. They don't have to take that train but for some reason they choose to!
@ Ruth ... thanks for dropping by, luv!
@ Jay ... The Princess and The Pirate acting up, are they? You'll like the words, I think, when you get a chance to listen! Great voice too!
Love this. Great message, and it's one of those songs where watching the video along with it makes it even better (as opposed to some songs where you watch the video and you never heard the song the same way again!!).
Thanks for posting this - I hadn't heard it/seen it before, although I had heard of Josh Turner and his unmistakable deeeeeeep voice. ;-)
Happy Sunday to you too!!
Angi you are welcome, luv! That is one deep voice, isn't it? Amazing. I am not familiar with his work or career but I do like this song very much.
I think we are clones with so much in common. We'd probably vacation great together. Isn't blogland great? We would never have crossed paths in person.
It is amazing, Cheryl! Truly and happily so.
Good message. Oh, that all would heed it. Thanks for sharing. Junie
I just heard that song on the radio today. I LOVE Josh Turner, that gorgeous deep and mellow voice. Mood music for me!
