Snapshot Sunday: stupendous sunset

Now that summer is in full bloom and the water hovers around a spa-like eighty degrees, I'm outside in the pool nearly every day at or near sunset.
I keep my camera nearby on a towel because you never know what might develop. LOL.
Here's one that was a joy to behold ... although these photos hardly do it justice.
The date was July 8th and the real show started at about 7:36 when crepuscular rays began fanning across the sky.

This was the first hint that something spectacular was in the offing:
When it was at full tilt the sight was fairly breathtaking:
Things began to simmer down pretty quickly:
Ending with pale orange embers and a few beams of strong light illuminating little clusters of cumulus.
The heavens declare the glory of God!
~ Happy Sunday ~

Mari, it truly was. I wish I could have captured it better.
Donna M., you are so right. I believe even atheists know there's a God.
Donna, I wish I had a better camera to remember to bring outside! LOL someday.
I don't thnk I've ever seen a sunset like that. Lovely.
I never cease to be amazed every time I look up! Glorious!
How lovely. Maybe even heavenly.
Sue O ... they don't happen all that often around here! I feel privileged.
Keli ... I know that feeling!
Irene ... well said, luv.
Oh that's beautiful. Reminds me of a painting of the second coming of Christ.
Debbie ... that'll work! For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first ...
