How to bathe a Chihuahua in ten damp (but easy) steps

One: Wet him down.
Two: Lather him up.
Three: Try not to laugh …
... at his discomfiture.
Four: Ignore the dirty looks he gives you as you do him the favor of getting him clean.
Five: Allow him to look over the edge and judge for himself ...
... the distance to the ceramic tile floor.
Six: Endure additional baleful glances ...
... as he realizes he's fresh out of options.
Seven: Rinse him off.
Eight: Play with his hair in an attempt to give him a full-body mohawk.
Nine: Wrap him in his towel. Rub vigorously.
Ten: Begin the arduous task of mending fences with his little aggrieved canine self.
This will take approximately four and a half minutes …
... or until he begins to feel human again.
Clean and sweet.
We're done here!

Awww - this was so cute!
Haha. I have an idea of what Javier was thinking in those photos where he is looking directly at the camera. "Is my agony not enough for you people? Must you also document the proceedings so the world can witness my humiliation?? Oh, the injustice!"
Of course, in that mohawk photo I'm pretty sure he was thinking, "Dang...I look cool."
What a cutie! And you can bathe him in the sink! Ours are too big... Even the cats.
Mari ... cuter than the pictures show!
Kev ... you captured his thoughts exactly! Nobody does disdain like Javier. But he is quite vain as well.
JT ... your CATS are too big to wash in the sink? They're real whoppers! Javier would be in terror if he encountered them, I'm sure.
I adore this pictorial! ROFL! It's pretty hard to resist that sweet face. Oh my, our pooch wasn't nearly as cooperative. He was a BIG dog and we got VERY wet!
Doesn't look like she minds being bathed. Our Penelope the Beagle like getting a bath. Much easier to give her a bath than the previous dogs we had. They weighed around 100 pounds each.
Donna M., I imagine you did get soaked! I've bathed big dogs and I know how it is ... 100 percent commitment! Javier is fun to bathe because of his expressions.
Debbie, Javier doesn't like his bath but he's very good and sweet about it. I have a feeling Penelope is good about everything. She's a regular sweetheart. I don't know who's more fortunate ... Penelope or her owners! I imagine it's a tie.
Oh so adorable and what a trooper! This would make such a cute picture book!
Keli, I'm writing a little book with the working title of Things Javier Taught Me. His pictures will figure prominently in its design!
