That's nutty

One of the more whimsical landmarks in downtown Columbia is Cromer's P-Nuts.
Guaranteed Worst In Town! How can you beat that?
When my blogging buddy Sue -- a/k/a Nostalgic Nana -- visited me in the late summer of 2010 -- you know, the day I ignominiously fell out in the pavement at Finlay Park, an event that will surely live in infamy -- I took her to Cromer's P-Nuts.
Remember, Hobbit?
So imagine my surprise when earlier this week while fulfilling a photo request for Find A Grave, I found this:
The original P-Nut Cromer of Cromer's P-Nuts!
And like his namesake, Guaranteed Worst In Town.
That's what I call a great sense of humor. I bet he was fun to be around.
And I bet you are too. Sweetly nutty.
Happy Weekend!

By the way, I am legend when it comes to klutziness. If you'd care to read another story about me losing my balance in a rather spectacularly embarrassing way, click here.
It's okay to laugh at me. I do it all the time.
Bye!

Haha! We had a great time, didn't we? I think, if you can't laugh at yourself, you turn into one of those bitter old people. Which we shall never be.
Oh my goodness, did you and Sue sample the "Worst in Town" peanuts. Bet you two had fun, but no fun takin' a tumble for you. Good friends, peanuts, can't get any better than that. For me, "Loon", comes to mind. K? ........G.
Oh, and this is for Sue, I love your blog, and want some bread now!!!
I am quite sure I would have liked him - a good sense of humor is important!
I remember the tale of your fall because it's something I can relate to quite well. I enjoyed reading it again!
I really do have to laugh at your misfortune, but... I know of what you speak, each time we are together and someone has a very High Heel on, I'm mentioned. You see I love to wear shoes with heels, I forget that I'm a lady sometimes, and sometimes a not so graceful one. So I hear you. I bet Mr. Peanut was a fun guy as well, you'd have to be to have that on your grave stone.
Love the signs and the marker! I bet he was a fun guy!
Nuthin' wrong with being them kinda 'nuts' ;-)
