Gated communities
Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 11:44PM Question:
When it comes to cemeteries and the plots within them, are the fences and gates intended to keep folks in or out?
Perhaps you can mull that while you look at my slideshow.
Happy Summer Monday!

I don't know the answer, but I am impressed by how many photos you have taken on this subject. I think you had a very good idea.
Definitely IN!!Hahaa....Oh Yeah! But it doesn't work...they jump the fence!
Love the photos Jennifer! Some of them are downright Grogeous!
Happy Day to you!

Nice slide show, some of those are really pretty. We've never lived in a gated community, but my guess would be they are intended to keep people out. It's doubtful that they serve their purpose though, unless there is a guard at the gate which some do.
I watched the first episode of the new TV series "The Gates", pretty weird. In that case the gate is to keep folks IN.
@ A/c ... I do have a lot of them, don't I? LOL
@ Donna ... that's what I thought! It's to keep them IN! LOLOL Thanks luv.
@ Debbie ... I've never lived in a gated community either. I suspect I never will. There are no guards at these cemetery gates, though! Nobody's getting out and nobody really wants in.
