I feel a bit foolish. Last night when I posted these pictures I couldn't understand why the sky looked so similar in the first and third photos and so dramatically different in the middle one.

I stared for ages and was unable to explain it but something didn't look right to me. Nevertheless, the times at which they were taken don't lie.

But since I have been unceremoniously awoken and dragged from my bed to investigate the protracted strangled incessant barks of an unidentified dog literally OUTSIDE MY BEDROOM WINDOW at three o'clock in the morning, I have examined these pictures again.

I realize now that in the middle picture I zoomed in on the bright yellow clouds. It's basically the same as the first and third shot, only magnified. You can tell by the trees.

So maybe the sky didn't change so quickly as I had thought. Sorry about that. I feel silly. Still, it was pretty.

The dog has removed his cacophonous self from the premises so I'm going back to bed.
