A Pistol With One Shot

Ecstatically shooting everything in sight using my beloved Nikon D3100 with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR kit lens and AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G prime lens.

Also capturing outrageous beauty left and right with my Nikon D7000 blissfully married to my Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D AF prime glass. Don't be jeal.

And then there was the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f:3.5-5.6G ED VR II zoom. We're done here.

REMEMBRANCE

When I am gone

Please remember me

 As a heartfelt laugh,

 As a tenderness.

 Hold fast to the image of me

When my soul was on fire,

The light of love shining

Through my eyes.

Remember me when I was singing

And seemed to know my way.

Remember always

When we were together

And time stood still.

Remember most not what I did,

Or who I was;

Oh please remember me

For what I always desired to be:

A smile on the face of God.

You Want To Find This
The Promise Of Redemption

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I BELIEVED, AND THEREFORE HAVE I SPOKEN; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

II Corinthians 4

Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it, have never known it again.

Girls. Eureka! Girls.

For six months -- ever since Dagny was born -- we've been meaning to do a mother-baby shoot.

With the exception of those few studio shots of five-week-old Dagny in her mother's arms, wearing Etsy-bought angel wings and screaming her head off, it never happened.

But it's Christmas! So last Tuesday on a day when it was so warm you could go barefoot (and Dagny did), we accomplished a Christmas-card shoot.

Audrey was beautiful as usual and Dagny even more adorable than usual if that's possible, and we had a remarkably good time.

They decorate Irmo Town Park so nice with lights everywhere, and there's a gazebo and a bridge and a pond (reflections, don't you know), and steps and all that one needs for a luscious dreamy background.

When your subjects are this gorgeous and photogenic there's not much you need to do except shoot, y'all. And that's what I did.

Close up, far away, here, there, and everywhere.

You can't tell in the photos but the small park was crawling with photographers and families doing the same thing we were doing, in the gray-white waning light of a warm, overcast, almost-winter day.

The story was slightly different when Erica and I went back on Sunday afternoon to capture her special Christmas-card picture. It was cold. Cold and blustery.

But Eureka the Intrepid braved the elements and sparkled in her magenta dress with the black lace detail, her chestnut hair tumbling over her shoulders.

Again, the area teemed with photographers and eager groups waiting to be snapped for what we assumed were their own Christmas card photos.

The light was different to what we'd had on Tuesday, and our time was so limited and the temperature so uncooperative, we got only a handful of workable pictures of Erica.

But to quote the wisdom of Amy March in Little Women (speaking on the subject of men, but hey, if the shoe fits): It only takes one ... if it's the right one.

We were grateful to have had the opportunity, and glad for what we got.

Happy Shooting ~ Merry Christmas

It is amazing how a picture really is worth 1000 words. Audrey glows with happiness, she is just beautiful. Really, really beautiful. Little Dagny's feet on that table and those perfect cheeks - how do you get any work done when you have her?
You have been so blessed with all four of your children and they have been given your's and Mr. W.'s good looks. It just isnt right - some one should have gotten an ugly gene but nope - not in this family. I so enjoy the photos when you post - wish i knew all of them. Truly an amazing family. Thanks for the influence you have had in my life. I love you all.

@Jan ... Girl you have three gorgeous sons and I wish I could know them too. And I know how you love them and how much of your own generosity of spirit you poured into them. They're fortunate indeed. My children are and have always been a tremendous blessing to me. They know it, too. I often say, I've learned more from them than I ever taught them. Thank you for your heartfelt words that I will share with Mr. Weber and the kids. Merry Christmas, luv. xoxo

Oh Jenny - these photos are just beautiful. Of course, I would expect no different with a talented photographer and gorgeous subjects. Dagny is so adorable and those little bare feet are the sweetest things. Audrey is glowing and Erica is as pretty as ever. It made me happy to see these. :)

I need the magic beauty wand waved over me too. They are all so gorgeous. Dagny is certainly following in their footsteps too.💕
