REMEMBRANCE
When I am gone,
Please remember me
As a heartfelt laugh,
As a tenderness.
Hold fast to the image of me
When my soul was on fire,
The light of love shining
Through my eyes.
Remember me
When I was singing
And seemed to know my way.
Remember always
When we were together
And time stood still.
Remember most
Not what I did,
Or who I was --
Oh please remember me
For what I always
Desired to be:
A smile on the face of God.

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kindgoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Psalm 46

Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it, have never known it again.

Wowwww...he and I share our birthday week. I never knew I was so blessed.
;)
45? That's quite grown up - he certainly doesn't look that old :)
@ Angi ... no kidding? Happy Birthday to you too then, sweetie!
@ Diane ... yeah, I think Johnny has a picture stashed somewhere a la Dorian Gray ... it's aging while he stays pretty ... but I don't think he made a deal with the devil. I just think he hit the genetic jackpot!
Thankfully, I am going to stay 30 years old forever, so I don't have to wonder what I will look like at 45.
@ Kev ... or at 90! Let me know how that staying 30 forever thing works 'cause I meant to do that as well but somewhere along the way something went wrong and I ended up 51 ...
**scratches noggin, looks bewildered**
He is definitely a brilliant actor! You've got good taste!
Why thank you, Keli! ;-)
That's one of the finest pictures of Johnny I've ever seen. Oh man, he is fine!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and commenting. It's always wonderful to meet someone new, and, someone who goes out of their way to say hello. I'll be back!
Oh, hey Cheryl, what an honor! I do love reading Ladeda! I've enjoyed it so much. Yes, Johnny is all kinds of fine. I love his "look" in Finding Neverland! Such a great performance. He got robbed when he didn't get the Oscar ... all three times! LOL!
