D-Day Plus 64
On June 6, 1944, nearly 200,000 Allied troops -- the largest invasion force in human history -- stormed the beaches at Normandy, France, to free Europe from German Nazi occupation. By the end of that day over 10,000 American, British, and Canadian soldiers had been killed, wounded, or captured. I wish I had the eloquence to say what is in my heart when I think about what that must have been like for all of them, and for their families. I can't because it's too enormous, so I will say only two things:
To us: Never forget.
To them: Thank you.

Exactly what was on my mind this morning.
@ Lori ... we should remember more often than a few days a year, but at least we can do that. Their sacrifices were so great and ours so few in comparison.
I have one thing to say...
"Amen"
Joonie ... if I think about it for too long I'll cry!
