Has It Been Six Weeks?
Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:34PM Yes ... it has. Six weeks ago today our son, Andrew, reported to McGhee-Tyson Air Base in Knoxville, Tennessee. They flew him to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, the next day, where he began Basic Military Training. This Friday he will graduate. He is so excited. Tomorrow my husband and I will fly down to Texas, get ourselves situated in our hotel, and hopefully get a good night's sleep. Early on Thursday we'll head over to Lackland where there will be various events surrounding graduation weekend for the 324th Training Squadron. I'm told we won't get to spend a whole lot of time with our boy, so the time we have will be precious! I hate to fly so please have a moment of silence for me at about 2:45 tomorrow afternoon! LOL! I hope the flights are uneventful and, above all, on time! I do not like to be inconvenienced ... I have found it so inconvenient! Please nobody even THINK about lost luggage!
I don't own a laptop but if there's a computer in the hotel that I can use, I'll try to update this post as we go along through the weekend. If not, I'll tell you all about it when I return! I would appreciate the prayers and good thoughts of all who read this! Andrew has done a good job and we're proud of him.
